New recipe, Black Bottom Oatmeal Pie: In which I provide any and all of the excuses you need -- if you're a person who requires rationalizing -- to make pie that are not Pi Day, such as this, a cross between an oatmeal chocolate cookie and pecan pie. The corn syrup is optional, the warm/gooey/salt-flecked part with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
